ICELANDIC SHEEP WOOL POT HOLDERS
As we drove further and further away from Reykjavik, we started to see far less people and way more sheep. Almost every store we visited sold products made from Icelandic sheep wool, and on our final day in Iceland, I got myself to purchase a couple skeins of local yarn. With this special yarn, I wanted to create home goods that portrayed the warmth and coziness we felt while traveling around the country, so I decided to crochet items that are meant for warm things– wool coasters for hot drinks, and wool pot holders for hot pots.
The pot holders are large “granny squares,” featuring the main colors of Iceland– moss green and volcano black. Enjoy some cozy vibes in your living space, and take a small piece of Iceland home with you!
