WHERE NATURE ROAMS FREE (MARIGOLD YELLOW)

While in Chiang Rai, Thailand, we spent 48 hours on a fully-sustainable, organic farm in the vast countryside. The entire property was off-the-grid, intertwining minimalistic homes and tents, with farmland and the all-astounding, radiant nature of Northern Thailand. That farm felt like a true utopia— a golden haven that existed and survived in simple harmony with the nature all around it.

This two-part series, titled “ Where Nature Roams Free,” illustrates the Chiang Rai countryside in a wild and carefree manner. They give a drawn-on-the-spot feel— quick, but intentional, works of art that often live in a traveler’s sketchbook. The colors are bold and vibrant, like the country they depict, and the strokes live rugged and fierce on the paper.
