“The Winifred Plate” displays softs shades of periwinkle, ecru, and warm French grey, overlapping beautifully in an array of hand-painted patchworks. The name “Winifred” symbolizes peace and joy, and this plate presents just that. Because this plate was hand-painted, the final product holds little moments of the creative process (like small indentations on the back of the plate where kiln stilts held it up while firing, or subtle imperfections in the translucent layers of the glaze).
